Situated at the end of an avenue of lime trees, Sutton Lodge is a family-run bed and breakfast on a working farm only a 10 minute walk away from the picturesque village of Sutton Bassett with its traditional pub.

We can offer either three twin rooms or two doubles and one twin room. Two of our rooms are situated in two converted Victorian barns, at ground floor level with their own private entrance and reception porches. With plenty of secure private parking right outside the door, you can come and go as you please with your own key. Many of our visitors like nothing more than to sit on the benches outside their door, in the evening sun, enjoying a refreshing drink and listening to the birds and other wildlife.

The rooms are very spacious and larger than your regular family room. We can easily accommodate an additional put up bed and/or a travel cot. They all have modern ensuite bathrooms, with tea making facilities, TV and coming soon Wi-Fi in each room. Our third room offers the same facilities, it is a normal double size and located next to the Farmhouse.

Sutton Lodge is a lovely farm-stay set in the midst of the rolling hills of Northamptonshire's Welland Valley with animals tranquilly grazing outside. In fact its location - bordering the counties of Rutland, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire - will appeal to business people and tourists alike. The towns of Leicester, Northampton, Market Harborough, Corby and Kettering are all within easy reach while London is only an hour away by Inter City train.

A modern contemporary purpose built Breakfast Room, situated only a few steps away from your door is where we serve breakfast. With having food allergies and intolerances in the family we are well aware of the need for varying diets. Please let us know any dietary requirements on booking, although our traditional farmhouse breakfast sourced from local suppliers is renowned throughout the area. We always recommend our village pub where you will find a heartfelt welcome and a reasonably priced evening meal. The village is just a ten minute walk away, you can either cross the fields or enjoy a tranquil walk down “the Limes”, a real treat on a barmy summers evening. For long term guests and those who arrive late and on their own we can arrange catering in the evening. We also have a host of things you may need during your stay – iron, hairdryer, high chair, travel cot, changing mat etc. Please enquire beforehand and we will do our best to accommodate.

We are very proud of Sutton Lodge and invite you to enjoy our grounds. Please feel free to use the family garden – if you go right to the end and into the orchard you will see our red feathered ladies who also live at Sutton Lodge, a treat especially for our younger visitors.

We are very lucky to live in such a beautiful and tranquil part of England and recommend you spend time seeing some of England’s finest residents, top sporting venues and traditional English annual events.
